^^ This. For the uninitiated, SKI's demographic isn't the same as TGR. More like Conde Nast.

But I heard Deer Valley has the steepest terrain in the Wasatch, according to Hoyt:

You might have to ask Benny about that. As far as I know, he's the off-ramp expert.

Well, gentle soul, as a matter of fact, my problem this season is that I have 17 passes to mountains in Utah. So, I have to sleep in the absolutely charming ski towns of SLC and Ogden.

#1 for challenge was Taos. I have never skied it so I don't have first hand experience but in past reviews the top challenge was always, Jackson, Telluride, Snowbird, Alta etc, I don't recall Taos ever being close to the top of the list.

I do recall that four or five years ago Powder Mountain was #1 for best snow. I always figured somehow the "ballot box" got stuffed.

I am a gentle soul, thank you for recognizing that.

A high roller like you can't afford to stay at the resorts? WTF?

SLC and Ogden, It'll be just like staying in your home town except a thousand times nicer.

One word. Interlodge. Stay up there, you can be stuck. Cheap Mexican in town almost makes it worth it.

You have a typical westerner's vision of what it's like to live in the east, if you think SLC is better than most towns here. It's a shitty, sprawled, ugly city with brown air. But, the Mexican food is cheap and awesome.
