I think it's starting to work!
That’s the fentenyl talking. Takes about 72 hrs for the steroid to start working.

If the epidural works, surgery is not bad. I was walking five miles a day within three days of my discectomy @ c6-7. I posted photos of the iron in gimp central somewhere

Skied Wyeast Face from Meadows main lot yesterday. Started at 430. Got to the top at 930, waited until 10 to descend and got perfect corn into Heather Canyon. Couple crevasses are opening up between Wyeast and Newton Clark Glacier - enough space to ski around but probably not for much longer. Triggered some loose wet sluff on steeper pitches in Heather, enough to weigh down your skis and take you for a ride if not careful. Overall a great ski but could definitely use some freezing temps to lock things up a bit.

Booting the ridge above Cascade to Wyeast. You can see the crevasses just to the right of the rocks at the end of the ridge:

Headin' down to Batch tomorrow. Anyone have an/access to an extra ticket? I've got things going on on Sunday, so, hoping to ski tomorrow for a bit.
Anyone going to be up there as well?
    Cheers!

What a gift of great weather for the last days of our winter passes. I took a vacation from the office and went up to Timberline 5 days in a row.
Bummer they didn't extend it but I think I got my money's worth since the Fusion pass ended up being a little under $7.13 per day.

Thursday and Friday I skinned up a bit before lapping Palmer for the afternoon. Thursday a huge cloud came down on me before I could ski over to Illumination saddle. Click image for larger version.

Saturday-Monday were spent lapping Palmer with my wife.
Got into the habit of making last chair and finishing the day with the last couple pipe and park laps on the mile.
What a great way to finish off the winter season!

Daymakers! I upgraded to these after my marker tour broke right off my ski when I was making some turns on Palmer last August. Transitions take a bit longer but I'm still faster than the dude with the cast system and just as fast as a split border. The stride is way more comfortable than the Markers ever were.

MHM poll sent to season pass holders

use it to help them get better at line management & opening terrain on weather days

they didn't provide a box for "any other comments" so use the comment boxes judiciously even if it doesn't address the question

Don't drink out of the wrong faucet folks. The national guard is here at my work with tanker trucks if anyone is thirsty.
What's looking good to ski this weekend?
