Yes, mhm
Crowds were minimal. Lift lines were easy with everything but PR open
Not really much fresh snow though there were orographic flurries all day. Lee slopes in heather had bands of powder alternating bands of chalk, windlips & some patches of ice
High speed laps of cascade were the leg burner of the day. Silver bowl had some soft stuff.
I imagine today will be similar, tho fewer sun breaks
[ETA] photo is blown out because I have a dark jacket & camera struggles with dark on light. It was not a storm day at all. Blue skies drifted in and out with the wind yesterday

I always feel a little squeamish pretending to offer authoritative comments on skis. My experience with other skis is thin.

“I’ve got Downs” doesn’t really roll off the tongue
I am enjoying them immensely in pow. While they are stiff and like to make big turns, they are much happier in 3D snow then hard pack. I rode them yesterday and a guy I was riding with noticed the tips vibrating away on groomers with an inch of dust. Though my perception of the turns was perfectly stable. No deflecting issues with chunder, but the lighter weight does bounce around more than my 12/13 196 Bodacious, but not at all as much as my 192 Atlas (which are noticeably lighter). Not really a tree ski at all.
I’ve got a 316 BSL if someone wants to give them a go.

okay, whose gunna claim this Grom? The kids were flipping for the solid conditions @ Bachy today.
Some nice wind blown off the Summit chair this morning. If only mtn. ops could get their shit together to open it on time. Maybe call up Xtal and get some lessons in how to do it right. Just a suggestion...

Looks like a big Hella throw down at Bachy on the 31st. Might have to arrive at the break of dawn

Anybody know if things softened up today at meadows? Got an invite to go tomorrow with a friend.

Soft & sunny in the am shift. Clouded up 1ish then with ski traffic scrapping it down to a firm base that could support high edge angles for some ripping groomers. There were some fun small bumps on NW.

Anyone else doing the meadows banked slalom? Skis are verboten this year. I'll show them. I haven't ridden a snowboard in over a decade. It's time

Looks like it’s full up...
Besides, I’d like to give others in the “gentlemen” class a chance. It’s what a gentleman would do...
I might, however, grill in the parking lot if the weather seems appropriate
