^ I made some implications in my previous posts ... coverage below pass elevation is mostly non existent except for storm snow (on the west slope there is no or little coverage west of the ODOT station). Coverage at the resort is pretty good up high on all the north and east aspects, and some (okay, actually several) manzanita bush tops are poking out near the bottom of the Face and Crater runs but it's easily manageable to ski between them. The catchline transition at the bottom of Face and Crater runs (more south facing) is still a bit hairy, as if you're not in a good spot it can be a huck-to-flat over manzanita or logs getting onto the catchline, so be careful there.

I don't think Hodag (west face) is not in, but from what I hear it's never in.

    Nice!

I wonder about the turn after this one, I hope the bed surface wasn’t bulletproof!

Looking to do some mtn biking this weekend...was thinking in the Bend area. What's rideable for a good 15-20ish mile ride? A lot of the trails on bend trails seem to be updated 1-2weeks ago before this last spell of precipitation. We had a bunch of rain in the valley earlier this week (I'm assuming snow in the higher elevations) but at least a few days of dry weather late this week.

There were a couple pretty good wind slab crowns around the resort. All the result of explosives work. One in the bottom of marmot ridge was probably at least 5-6 ft.

Tried to channel tomorrows mindset on my lunch break shopping trip. Also got some cans of tuna to donate to the kid.

I would head to Swamp Wells area. Lower Phils complex and Lower Mrazek are in season but a Swamp Wells loop is probably better for that length of ride.

    NWX skied well today.

Super was already corned at 11 when I dropped. Patrol wasn’t requiring avy gear. A nice mix of puffy Columbia coats and blazer jerseys on the hike.

Great weekend full of great views and blue skies. Great to meet Jonesy for couple laps at Hoodoo Friday. Had a ton of fun in the sun back at Timberline for the weekend. Palmer opened for the first time of the year yesterday we finally got those rare laps from the top of Palmer to the bottom of Jeff Flood. Let me know when you all make it out to Timberline.Click image for larger version.
