Based on the nearly wind-free forecast, does the bend intelligentsia think westside lifts will be open? Or will they still be de-icing, etc?

Untouched nwx would make missing today worth it.

Bachy was off the hook good this morning. Light and not wind affected. Just good, soft, light, fluffy sweetness. Hit Red Chair first, and then managed to nab fresh tracks top to bottom on Thunderbird, and right onto Pine Marten as they started loading it for "first" chair right around 9:20. Then scored fresh tracks all the way down Canyon/Tippy Toe, and got a few face shots. The snow was just low resistance, light and fluffy. 3rd lap repeated the 2nd lap, and hit the trees off of Coffee. Lots of pillowy wind drifts to bounce in and out of. Got crowded around 10:30ish, but it was dumping and almost free refills. Should be outstanding conditions for tomorrow.

Called it around 1PM, and still managed to hit a fresh tracks of almost untouched through the trees off of Coffee. Just lots of hootin' and hollerin'. Better late than never for some decent pow.

But we screwed the pooch, did Elk in PR at 11:40ish and never saw that Heather opened

No, nothing like the toe infection, please! It's under control, and is soon to be vanquished whereas pow fever never dies. I plan on freezing any remaining nasties out in my leaky boots tomorrow.

mt hood meadows was pretty sweet yesterday...we left early enough it wasn't too bad getting in. Soft, light snow all day, face shots in the woods all day. They dropped a rope to some terrain on the side that probably hasn't been open in awhile and took the best run of my life waist deep in spots through trees! At least for this east coaster...not bad for my first time ever skiing out west!
