As to ski area surveys... Bachelor sent them for years and never responded to the calls to get the lifts running on time. Finally I just answered every question with "Get the lifts running on time', as the response. The next year they got a new manager and things seem to have improved. I don't think that my survey was responsible, but I think it did communicate my displeasure with the prior situation. I highly recommend you just write in what is on your mind. Pick a subject and make it the answer to every question, no matter what the survey wants. It is your voice after all. What use is it, if all you get to say is what they want to hear.

Went up to Hood last Friday. We were able to skin right from the meadows parking lot. Newton Clark was in great shape. Winter’s not over yet boys!

I saw them coming down McKenzie highway last Friday, wonder if they filled up the good clean stuff from Clear Lake or Carmen Reservoir!

June 21st 4:30 or so till sunset.

No more climbers tickets being offered so your going to have to huff it from the parking lot, or throw down for a full price lift ticket. Well worth the effort, or the money.

Anyone been up on Palmer recently? Thinking about paying the big ticket price to take my wife skiing. The National Guard will in my parking lot for another 2 weeks so I'm guessing it's safe to leave my work with them.

What are the camp crowds like? Does the public have lane 1 (the first lane skiers left of the chair?) What about east near the climbers trail or west on the other side of the chair?

Great day yesterday. Blue skies and fast sliding. Still skiing onto the mile and a strip still goes to the lot but not for long. Started out rock hard all the way to the lodge. Lots of racers early and they were the only ones liking the race ice like conditions up top first thing. Most of the racers were clearing out by noon and midway was still fast till we closed it down.

Let us know if you find out! Was thinking of going for the Spur next week if things still look halfway decent.

Climbed at Bachelor on Friday. Parked at the Sunrise Gate and climbed from there. I hit pretty consistent snow just below the base of Summit Lift. It was a bit thin in places, but the snow quality was good due to the partially overcast sky keeping the temp down.

I see July turns being available for at least the first part of the month.

Thanks to the new management for honoring a long established practice and not attempting to stop climbing and skiing in the off season! A real improvement that deserves acknowledgement and support!

What other beta can you find out from Q? Will you please ask him if the Mile still ski on or are people carrying on to the Mile now? Has Q been in the public park? Is it still down on the mile?

When I saw your son last I asked him if was gonna work on his rail sliding this year. He didn’t seem to think that was funny...
Hope he’s having a good time. When does become a coach?

Dang, I can’t think of anything more fun than that for a 14yo

    7wks away from home...

    ...skiing too

From the few times I’ve seen Q’s IG feed, it’s all ladies who comment...he must be as smooth a talker as he is a skier

Best windows for lift-served summer turns on Hood are in early June when the camps haven't started yet and you can ski back to the Mile and the last few weeks of August when the camps are done and the public park moves up to Palmer. Best advised to bring some cold ones for the lift lines but leave the profanity at home...
