How is the snow in Oregon?
I'm thinking of taking off for May either Cascades or East side and trying to decide.

Does anyone know of a babysitter in bend or around? I have two kids, 6 and 8, and we may need some overnights too, it at least early morning start.
This is for volcano skiing with my wife.

Also for further north, up to the Washington border.

Oregon is probably similar to CA in terms of coverage per elevation ...
Nearly zero coverage below 5K (pass elevations) - but still early enough that access roads to some areas may have drifts or blowdown. It seems decently stacked above treeline, and variable coverage in between pass elevations & treeline depending on how much windloading and shading, but mostly thin below treeline.

Oregon got about 60% of normal precip, while northern WA got over 100% this season. Of course, all that came in warm with higher than normal snowlines.

Personally I'd go eastside, mainly because corn is more reliable there, but who knows if we get into a good clear corn cycle then May in Oregon could be good timing for high elevation missions here. I haven't been poking around yet ... I'll be poking around a little bit.

The line between rain and snow was pretty much at the Oregon/Washington border many times this season. Mt Adams has significantly more snow than Hood.

Just read the forecast and I think I need to ask my boss for tomorrow off to pay my taxes and...
Yesterday was a wet one and the snow looked a lot like rain down low. Glad I decided to get my last turns at Skibowl on Saturday night.
Bob Olsen set up some new boots for me Saturday morning and I am more stoked to ski than ever.

Nice, wish I could show you guys a bit of Hoodoo Hospitality (not like I’m a local yet, but hey it’s the closest thing I have to a new “home resort” at this point ... but I’m gonna be out of town for my wedding anniversary.

A bit of manzanita still poking out but if you get pow or corn the Face and Crater laps will be worth the little bit of leaf-surfing to finish your turns. Enjoy the resort, I have really been digging the vibe there on storm days this season!

Hoodoo Friday? I could probably pull it off if I stay a little late at work tonight and tomorrow. I have not driven over the pass since July. What is coverage like up there? Shenanigans?
