    Bachelor was perfect this morning.

Needless to say a few folks had the same idea and hit the cone hard, and often.

Anyone know what they were filming at the old lodge? Looked like Hollywood Majic in action.
Hope you all got some great turns in. Sunshine and turns on Saturday and Sunday were just what the good doctor ordered.

    Boo Yeah!
    Looks great you guys!

Given that I'm new to PNW and there aren't too many dry weekends left in 2017, I left my rock skis and my rock splitboard in the wood shed and shredded on knobby tires in Oakridge instead. Anyone else in here get after the brown pow in Alsea, Oakridge, or Whypass? I'm lookin for riding partners for this coming weekend ... have shuttle car and will drive!

Ah I have an overnight trip to the coast this weekend otherwise I'd be in. Just rode Alsea Falls on Sunday..trails were perfect although we might be in for rain again by the end of the week.

How's Oakridge? Still haven't made it there yet this season.

    2017/2018 ofishul orygun thread

Oakridge is in great shape right now. I haven't even scratched the surface of the riding out there, but the little I've ridden combines Santa Cruz style sustained steep descents with moderate chunk and shale not found in the coastal hills of Alsea and Whypass. When the dirt is moist and the rocks are dry at Oakridge it makes for pretty magical descents. I will say that all the well known trails are accessed from pretty punishing climbs (hence the two shuttle companies plus multitude of people self-shuttling out there). It seems like there isn't a whole lot of riding in Oakridge that has more moderate or mellow sustained climbs more appropriate to my 1x setup and out of shape legs (which are totally fine climbing Alsea and Whypass) ... but like I said I'm still exploring.

s'up all. Long time no see. Also still fishing, but came out of hiding to share the following:

Recent update to long range forecast very much in our favor. This looked like crap a few months ago (hotter and drier). Now looks promising: (colder than average, and as wet as average) http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/product...nal.php?lead=2

Looks like it should lower a bit before it stops. Maybe down to 7,500 or so. Hoping to get up Monday if conditions allow
