It was certainly not my vote, but the family has yet to embrace high speed "solid" groomers. Red chair with a nearby car\cooler stocked with beers may ease the pain of the lines.

I had to abort mission today after seeing your photo. Attempt again tomorrow... hopefully less people there.

fortunately we took the mt hood express which let us pass most of it by. except for the dumbshit in his jacked up pickup who spun out and ended up in the drift on the wrong side and/or direction with 3 other cars pointed in differing directions right there with him.

also saw a few people taking sled transportation down the hill and heard from an alpental/crystal regular that somebody broke an ankle or something skiing down from the summit.

that was rigjht before i offloaded on a totally fucked up, deeply rutted ramp with an old host standing right in the middle of it leaving me nowhere to go so i bailed out so i didnt hit him and then he just stood there staring at me.

I have been up to Shasta, but driving by it last week had it looking, erm... thin.

Two years ago, we had that epic pre-Christmas week where it dumped nearly every night and refreshed. F me, that week was all time. And no one around.

Bachelor was better on crowds till noon. Then the Family Fun Zone rolled in. Coverage is decent and sharp edges a must.

Anyone think Hoodoo will cancel their BC festival this weekend? Forecast I read from NWS called for rain above pass levels ...

I suspect it'll go on, but without the actual skiing component. Just a big party, with some new gear on display in tents. lol

Hah, let’s see that webcam after Thursday’s jet of atmospheric river drops 1” of water above the Pass.

I don’t really need gear, I just wanna meet folks down in my part of the valley who split and dynafiddle and don’t mind futzing around with SWAG. I’m not sure my wife will be stoked about camping in a washed out parking lot if there won’t be actual turns involved.

Anyone here gone in past years? Good fun?

It’s fun. Have gone with COAA. Lots of skis to try, not as many splits, a good amount of Mountain Culture to enjoy.
Let me lock in the system at Warp 2
Push it on into systematic overdrive
    You know what to do
