Hurricane Maria - Please let this last one of 2017

Hurricane Maria is following a path similar to Irma through the windward islands. A bit farther south but that will just result in more islands being fucked up. Puerto Rico is also in the direct path of the Cat 3/4 storm. Where the hell is everyone going to go?
And then there is Jose, still wandering around (day 13 for this storm) just off the US coast getting ready to do another loop-de-loop. Jose is predicted to have influence on whether Maria heads toward the coast or gets pushed out to sea.
Aim for the chopping block. If you aim for the wood, you will have nothing. Aim past the wood, aim through the wood.

Apparently PR didn't get fucked too bad by Irma which is good at least. For the rest of those islands, I have no idea what they're going to do. Craziest hurricane season I can remember by far.

Plenty of time left in the season. "The Perfect Storm" was based on a huge northern storm that occured right around Halloween.

I still think the season with hurricane Katrina, Rita, and Wilma was crazier. Was it 2005?

That was the most active Atlantic hurricane season in recorded history I believe.

Now Category 5. Ramped up quickly. Headed right for me here in PR. The next few months are going to suck.

We lived in Ponce when I was a kid, but I don't ever remember a direct hit like they are forecasting. Stay safe!
