There was a brown out to the power this morning at sunshine. They were turning people back at the start of the access road. Gondola opened at 10:30 and the lifts rolled open over the day. The skiing was excellent.

    Official Call Out:

To the Bro Brahs skiing the permanent avy closure in Rogers Pass: Go fuck your selves. Continuing to access permanently closed areas within the Park will ultimately lead to them shutting down the permit system.

    Jesus fuck.

Dumbass skiers and snowboarders skiing the permanent closures, and 2 different groups of snow mobilers in the National parks (sounds like one group got stuck and needed a rescue).

    INSIDE THE FUCKING PARKS!

Castle was deeeeep up mid mountain, thigh deep in some places. Even the lower mountain skied well despite the lack of base. The usual sharks and stumps were hidden, resulting in unaware skiers skiing through known land mines, it made me wince seeing them navigate it going up the lift.

I imagine there was/will be a good refresh today and tomorrow with some winds today and some snow forecasted tonight.

Spots have opened up on a BC lodge trip, Jan 7-14 , heli in , not guided but most people know the land like back of their hands. I've been there twice in both winter and summer I have been there the least. The owner will be there and has been running the place for 25 years. So for $750 you get heli and lodge unguided not catered so food groups. One of the people there teaches avie level one and 2 . Lots of different levels between rock star 10Kft and more mellow. So if a good person you will be invited back but if turn out to be a douche I won't be invited back. So I will be pickie on the names I put forward.

Was at LL today and it was -20F at the base to start the day, but the sun was out so it wasn't as bad as it sounds. It was also empty and the snow was decent, overall a great day. Heading back there again tomorrow.
