    Hey there Canadian Rockies Mags,

I’ll be in Calgary for work from April 18-19 and looking to ride Friday (20) Saturday (21) and Sunday (22). I’ve combed through this thread and also the “how to ski Banff” thread and am super thankful for all of the recommendations and info provided.

Since I’ll be traveling alone I’ll probably forgo any touring and stick to LL and SSV via a skibig3 3 day pass.

Don’t really have any additional questions since there was so much great info provided by all, so thanks for that. Still shopping around for cheap lodging options.

Would be stoked to link up with any mags for turns or beers!

Hey thanks, that's way cool! Unfortunately I'm only getting in evening of the 18th.

Ah those pesky analysts. I'll refrain from making obvious jokes since that is my job title as well, haha.

Rode Juniper Wednesday and it was all good to the creek. A couple small snow patches but overall it's on.
Found nice pow up high today too!

    From CVCS:
Swansea - no shuttles for a few weeks as the road is ice/snow/mud..... but there’s some limited, but great, pedal accessed riding down low.The uptrack is great to the 2k with a few small sections of snow
Gravy Train - a few small sections of snow but otherwise perfect
Hula girl - snow and ice, but good from the step up down
    Meat Grinder - perfect
Trails above the 2k, bring your skis.
Juniper - 95% perfect a few small sections of snow and mud
Déjà view - same as juniper
    Kloosifier - epic
    Spirit Trail - epic
    Johnson - not quite ready
Steamboat - check back in a few weeks
Nipika Mountain Resort - not open to bikes yet

Rode kloos yesterday I wouldn't say it epic but it's pretty good. A couple snow patches yet.

Season pass deal is the Best idea Pano bike park has had ever. I kinda laughed at the only 1000passes available. They haven't sold 1000 season passes all together since opening in 2001.

I rode Pacemaker, Deja View and Power Wagon. All in good shape, with just a few small snow and mud patches.
Nice to get out on the bike again - being in the snow donut does have some perks....Although I would have much rather skied the 14 cm at LL

Sorry I missed you at SSV. We were hunting and pecking for anything soft. Found some on teepee town shoulder and Standish. The dive woulda been good but it was closed. I was the old fat fuck in the bright orange jacket and light blue helmet skiing under the chairs. Going to try and swing monday at LL.

Guided my buddies the GM and maintenance manager of Shames around (along with Chloe, the front desk gal who was absolutely fearless and keen for everything). The really fantastic thing about today was that conditions were pretty much the worst I'd skied all year, however this posse was smiling and happy all day. Not only because they have fucking great attitudes generally, but also because they didn't have radios on and basically they could just ski.

It was bloody infectious. Yeah I had a great day, but it was made even better by hanging with folks that were just so stoked to shred "whatever".

Totally! I prob didn't encounter SSV at it's best but I sure enjoyed myself with the few cms that fell and warmish weather. I rode some chutes and shredded some pow and slush so I'm going home pretty stoked. Spent Sunday riding the Wawa lift and booting around to some easy access side country. Really wish I had the split, looks like some great terrain is pretty easily accessible right off the lift. Hope to come back another time!
