Had a great outing on Saturday May 12 on an obscure and seldom skied couloir on the west slope of the "steeples" in the Ft. Steele - Bull River area close to Cranbrook. Third time skiing this line for me, first two were in marginal conditions, this time it was pretty sweet.

I've got an unused/unregistered Sunshine Card from my mom - I'd gladly exchange for a sextet of fine ale if anyone wants it. Located in Kensington - fire me a pm.

Granted, but am I the only one that has to turn my computer on it's side to look at it. How come I see many photos (and some I've tried to post and then just gave up) that are on their side? Is it just me?

Where do you approach from for this? Everything I have seen makes it look like there are farms and homes around the bsae.

The last line is most important as the rest was already in works it was just a matter of time. Seems to infer some sort of action as result of new land. Will be controlled this coming winter? Lift announcement? ( which I have to say I din't think was going to happen any time soon)

Rumors of more new terrain at Pano as well, Slack country style. It's already been in play for locals who know the area.

Controlled slack is what I've heard tossed around for Reudi's. Basically a patroller keeps an eye on the place while people ski tour as usual.

If you ask me it's demonstrating potential for expansion to increase sale value. RCR has shown no willingness to develop the hill in any way themselves. It currently seems to be a seller's market for ski hills and my bet is they're looking at cheap ways to increase value for when they cash out.

Yah. It's kinda sorta almost what they already do on t2.5 and t3.

So what does this likley mean for O-Zone? I'd think they own both sides of it now? Be nice if that was a hike-to option....

IIRC, after the FWT was held on ozone, RCR said they were going to control and open it.

Again, pure hearsay but I'm told Ozone S/Nozone will open if possible as inbounds terrain with hopes of getting some compaction for freeride events like the FWT. Ozone N will be business as usual, with a probable increase in scared idiots bootpacking out of double drop and an even higher likelihood that girlfriend's will get tracked out faster than entire sections of inbounds terrain.

Proposed new tram at Sunshine. Gondola base at the parking lot with end point near the top of Goats Eye.

    https://youtu.be/O8R3KvwkbjM

This doesn't stand a snowballs chance in hell of succeeding. Looks to be more useful as a summer attraction rather than winter. Appears to bugger up the already bad parking situation as well.
