    NFL survivor pool thread

Who is in survivor pools? Post up picks and advice here.

Who already went out with the Patriot's?

Week 1 - Buffalo. Why? Jets are terrible.
Picks used to far - Buffalo.

I went Buffalo as well. Being able to use them up early is a gift. Unless they lose which is possible. Think I took Jets and the points in pick em league, but feel Buff should be able to win it.

Missed the cover but "survived". Baltimore looks like the easy play next week at home v Cleveland.

If I was in a survivor pool, I'd take whoever was playing the Jets. Every week.

    1. Bet against the Jets
    2. Profit

Between Jets, Niners and Brownies, it would be a good bet. You only get a team once, so hopefully can mix it enough that way.

Oh yeah, the Niners, right. Same level suckage... I'd be hesitant to lump the Browns in the same category as the Jets and 49ers (and Bears?) though, based on how bad they sucked last year. This years Browns could easily double or even TRIPLE their wins from last year!!

I am hoping for 5 wins from them. But not next week against that Baltimore D.

Bengals were embarrassing, so they are a prime team as an easy pick

and the colts getting hammered by the rams is not a good omen for their season

my giant's didn't look so good... i have always been an eli fan, but he had an awful game. that hit in the first quarter ruined his night.

Jets played way better than the Giants. Giants will be the biggest flop vs. expectations this season.

Week 2. Thinking Oakland vs Jets, Seattle vs SF, Carolina vs Buffalo or Baltimore vs Cleveland.

    Leaning Oakland or Seattle.

    Picks used - buffalo.

I'm thinking Oakland vs Jets in week 2... I used the Steelers in the first week. I haven't regularly watched the NFL in ages but am in a work survivor pool.

I would bet the farm that Cincinnati takes care of Houston Thursday.

Houston will be starting an injured, rookie, QB, making his first ever pro start, behind a lousy O line (starting a TE in place of their hold-out L tackle to make them even worse) with depleted skill position weapons. (Starting TE just placed on IR, #2 WR Will Fuller expected to miss 6 weeks with collarbone injury)

My stone cold lock for the week is Indy +7.5. Brissett is going to be starting and he is a gamer if you are not familiar with him. Came in at the end of the game and first throw was a 50yd toss to Moncrief. Only been with the team 8 day as of Sunday. He may not know a lot of the playbook(hell, that could be a benefit), but he'll drive the field. They could even win that game, but doubtful.
Usual disclaimer, I know nothing so if you bet and lose, EAD & GFY.

You make a very compelling argument.

That didn't work out well but I would have thought cinci would have romped also.

Looking like Jacksonville jaqs afc south champions is a real possibility, man; what a sorry division.

That is probably a solid pick. I might go crazy and take Indy v the Brownies. But it could screw me but leave me with a lot of good teams.

Let it fly with Indy. Cleveland made it interesting toward the end. Pitt, Miami and Denver knocked a number of peeps out. Moving forward...
Buffalo, Baltimore, Indy used. Lots of options still on the table.
