Rugged Flip-Flops?
Need to replace my favorite camping, mountain/desert, beer-tasting-in-the-woods flip flops.
Something with a relatively thick sole and some traction, moreso than my OluKai's. Recommendations?
Gracias!I have mastered all major sporting activities to a high degree of mediocrity.

Rugged Flip-Flops?
2nd on Chacos
Not slippery when your foot's wet & sole has enough topography to be grippy on dirt

Chacos don't fit right for me—the arch support isn't in the right place on my foot. I saw Bed Rock sandals in a shop the other day, and they seemed nice. Might want to check them out.

walking around on shore walking scrambling on rocks/barnacles/seaweed and the intertidal zone the crocs just work
they slip on easy and provide a more protection than FF's but thats about the only time I wear them cuz there is a geek factor
Ran into Chris Rubens in a warming hut few years ago and he told us a joke about Crocs and blow jobsLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

Tagert hut near aspen offers a selection of Crocs in all sizes for occupants. Pretty nice amenity. Wish I had known before dragging in my own though.

duno much about climbing but I think the punch line was that you do feel pretty good about yer crocs ... until you look down
I Ist seen crocs in a WW paddling magazine gear test in about 2005 and the tester seemed to like them, seen them for real in 2006 on a paddler so about a 12 yr old product ... they sure have taken offLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

Been digging my Sanuk's for a couple years. Leather footbed, so a bit slippery when wet, fortunately I'm dexterous as fuck.

Aren't flip flops pretty bad for your feet and lower legs, biomechanical? Especially when needing to grip them with your toes?

I fully swallowed the barefoot koolaid 8 years ago, after decades of foot issues.
My gate is very different in flip flops compared to barefoot or when wearing minimalist shoes. And i never need to grip with my toes like i do with flip flops.
