Even if you're broken the parking lot party is worth your time.

Very true. I'm guilty of spending way more time in the parking lot than spending time on the hill at the past two BBI's

But I did learn a lesson from 17BBI. I'm bringing some spare boots next year.

As someone who tumbled down l'Internationale not once but twice last season ( blue ice!) I can assure you that you'll most likely survive. It's just like going for a swim in a raging river - keep your feet pointed downhill, watch for debris & gapers, stay loose & enjoy the ride. You'll stop somewhere, eventually... hopefully in time to still make it out the gate to the High T

This morning's cool, misty weather felt real nice after that heater of a Tuesday. Fall is on it's way - won't be long now 'til we're swapping stores and exchanging high-fives in line for the padded seats...

Pack an ice axe. FWIW, although sometimes dicey when icy, 'Nash aint so tough in good conditions and it's N aspect and protected and therefore often doesn't get the melt-freeze nastiness of E Bowl. And E Bowl can be whacky because it can be difficult to find the fall line in low viz, and there are about a 100 fall lines in E Bowl. Anyway, get yer ass to BBI18 and we'll figure it out. Bring beer.

Years ago a guy came out of his skis at the entrance, he almost made it to the Cascade Traverse

    And a rope/harness

The board nearly lost a long time member to a crevasse fall in Edelweiss few years back on summer solstice.

Better than not turning at all... like one of my friends did his first trip up 2. He wanted nothing to do with it, (un)fortunately ops wasn't about to let him ride the chair back down...

I'm more of a Z team kinda wart, hopefully lurky au mode lot4 more this year what with the drive to Crustal being so long and all in between ventures afield.

It's come to me that time is no continuum but a series of cycles that we hop back and forth between, each one with little shadows of unintended and likely unwanted repetitions.

Pardonnez moi but I'm caught in the time squashings and bent.
