18BBi Bozeman: B-Team Tryouts, March 2/3/4, 2018
What type of ski shines in the terrain at Bridger Bowl?
Something chargey or more playful? Or in between?
Does it get too tight in some spots for a dedicated charger?

Things often get really tight. Or when you point it out of a fast line, you have to shut it down before a cat track. There are some places to let 'er run for sure, but a big burly 192 ski can be too much, especially when it's all moguls. A 185-187 dedicated charger may be better. I've never felt like I've needed a bigger ski at Bridger, always smaller, ha. It's the opposite of Big Sky in many ways.

Your BGs will be the tool, unless it's high tide.

Thanks Norseman! Very good info.
Im getting hyped for Bridger now.
Would a good analogy be Big Sky is to Bridger, as Mammoth is to Kirkwood? With Bridger having more hiking.

I don't think there is a good analogy except for Night and Day.
Very different mountains, different terrain/elevation/weather patterns. Big Sky is sort of obvious and in your face, BB is much more subtle.
There is indeed a Baby Bear line at BB, oddly enough in the Bears area.
I will start posting some Big Sky photos as soon as I get my lazy ass moving and fire up the external HD.

Kirkwood is not similar to Bridger. Not sure anything is similar to Bridger, although some places like CB, Fernie, Red Mountain, etc. are maybe kissing cousins. Parts of Big Sky are unique too, Lone Peak runs reminds me of Europe or Alaska more than anything. I've never skied Mammoth though.

This will be awesome! Will love to meet some mags and rip around. Bridger is an awesome mountain and will be well worth the trip for those who are on the fence. Some shitty pics from the phone from last winter since the stoke is lacking.
