Hmmm, interesting, I'll be curious to see what they do. I've always thought they need a mini-groomer up there to tamp down the snow so it doesn't get blown off the summit shoulder all the time. Perhaps it wouldn't make any difference though. Blows like a MF up there.

As for the Sharks VS the Jets. The dates for this gathering are right in the lead up to Dirtbag.
We're going to have to be the Jets. Big Sky provides plenty of sharks.

Bring the rock skis and disregard the unofficial rule "if you don't see tracks there's a reason". First one tackled by a shark has to shotgun a beer.

Rock skis??? Pfffft. I'm bringing some ON3Ps so I'm putting those sharks on notice.

That's a great idea! If a shark tackles you then you have to shotgun a beer. I can't wait. BBI Bozo is going to be awesome!

That's OK. As long as you can drink beers and smoke herb.

I know Norseman will be ready to rip with me.

Shark chugs sounds like a fun game

    18BBi Bozeman: B-Team Tryouts, March 2/3/4, 2018

Lol, thats what I hear it's like up there most of the season.

Haha, the more I watch that, the more impressive it gets.

How many of you would need to go to the ER after that run?

That there is the short cut you need to take to get the fastest time Summit to Base.

As I understand it the plan is to create come cat width wide surfaces that will hold snow. It is a worthy effort. Also lots of work being done to keep the N. Summit route viable through the Rips area. More snow fences.

On another note. I officially retired from ski patrolling yesterday. Difficult decision but 32 years was enough. Going to miss a lot of the job, not going to miss some of the job.

I have a Gold Pass at the Really Big for this winter and am welcome to ski BB as an alumni, Yeehaw!

they certainly won't be legalizing recreational between now and then, but most people turn a blind eye to that sort of thing.

I know my way around Bridger, but am looking forward to being shown sites for on-mountain safety at the really Big by bunion, et al.
