Lots of fun inbounds stuff here. I'm sure many of you have seen it, but for those who haven't, it shows the big coneheads cliff aka dry martini and lots of other great lines.

^^That is a great video, Tone, thanks.
When I was in my twenties I spent a month living at Lexley Acres trailer park in Belgrade and hiking/skiing the ridge every day, being guided around by my buddy. Although I don't remember much specifically about what we skied, I've always been really glad I had that experience so at least I have a clue what people are talking about when they talk about ridge skiing. Looking forward to getting back up there this year.

$$ and/or beer to be had for anyone willing to help. I have no tools or space.

Where is everyone staying for the weekend? Lodging is kind of spendy in the big sky area. Is staying the whole weekend in Bozeman a bad plan?

With one day of skiing in the really Big?
Nope, saying in town is reasonable. Bring a toothbrush and sleeping bag in case you end up on someones couch for a night.

18BBi Bozeman: B-Team Tryouts, March 2/3/4, 2018
Bucks T4 is $300 a night or something like that, but includes 2 $119 dollar passes to Big Sky.
If you were planning on paying full price for a lift ticket anyways, then the hotel is only $60-$80 a night for 2 queen beds.

I have the max pass, so tickets for big won't be needed. More just wondering if I get a vrbo in Bozeman for Thursday through Saturday nights if I'm going to be missing a big apres party in big because I'm the only one not staying there. Looking for a simple plan. 40 or 50 minutes to drive to the mountain from bozone doesn't seem that bad. I'm used to 2 hour plus drives.

It's really not a bad drive as long as the road is in decent shape and there isn't a traffic-blocking accident. And the restaurants in Bozeman are much better if you're into that.
If you do stay in Big Sky the most affordable options are the Huntley Lodge (if you want to stay on the hill), then there's Buck's T4 and the Whitewater hotel (cheapest) down on Highway 191. FYI The better restaurants in Big Sky are NOT on the mountain, they are mostly down in the Town Center and out on Highway 191.
I've had good luck negotiating lower rates with the Big Sky lodging people...tell them you have a Maxx pass and ask for the best deal they can possibly give you. Sometimes they will surprise you. March is high season, so no telling if they'll help you out, but it's definitely worth asking. Whatever you do, don't just reserve a room online and pay full price. That's for sucker tourists.

Is anyone going to be touring that sunday, if conditions allow??
Just wondering if I will be missing out on anything without a touring set up.

Perfect.
I get the feeling I wont tour until April, so trying to put off buying boots/bindings till then, after I sell all my downhill gear..
I just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing out on anything fun.

Maybe if you didn't have 4x overlap of long charger skis you'd have more cash for touring gear?

Totally. Except that the jibby K2s would be the first to go. Long chargers are getting harder to come by, and Im sure to rip apart the bases of a few of them this winter at Big Sky.
I wont be buying the full touring set up until I sell off a quarter of my hoard.
Although Supergoats are coming soon too. I dont really need them, and dont know when I would use them over other skis, but I would probably regret not buying them..
Probably gonna sell BG Tours too.

Ive skied 2 saturdays at Big Sky before. Both pow days..Less lift lines than Jackson/Squaw on a no-new-snow wednesday.
Besides the tram. Trams always have a wait..
