Although these guys have a crazy history of coming on late, word from a recent NYC show was they started 30 minutes after they were scheduled, and Axel went straight from his limo onto the stage.. everyone else was there and ready.

Trip report: Sturgill started at 6:15. He was OK but not very loud and the crowd was indifferent. Kind of hard to tell his songs apart. I imagine he'd be better in a smaller venue, but this didn't really work for him.

GnR went on at 7:45 and played straight until 11pm. Those guys have a crazy amount of energy for a bunch of fifty-something dudes that spent their younger years destroying themselves with drugs and alcohol. They sounded great - Axl's never been particularly on key as a singer, but he sounded as good as he did back in the 90s live. Great show, glad I went.

Saw some clips from some friends' phones, and it looked and sounded awesome.

Great to hear that they brought it.
