Saban is a proponent of playing 9 league games vs 8 currently and of playing only power 5 teams in the non conference.

You can't play a regular season like we have today then ask the kids to play 5 more games potentially. 17 games or so is too many. So the regular season would have to shrink somehow.

3 of the 5 best teams are in the SEC this year. You see a close Iron Bowl and/or a close SEC Championship Game and those committee members may actually have to do a little work this year.

The Bama run ends Saturday. AU has the best OL and DL in the league. Bama won't be able to run and won't be able to stop AU running. Jalen makes some
Plays but will make a critical error at some point due to the AU pressure. Auburn wins 34-24.

The debate could come
Down to Bama and Ohio St. Ohio St has 2 blowout losses. 1 to a good team and one to Iowa by 30. I personally think AU is a top 4 team so a close loss on the road doesn't prove to me that Bama isn't a top 4 team. If the argument is Bama vs another 1 loss team with a better resume then of course the other team should go.

For the record, the FSU team that Bama beat was #3 and had their starting QB. After that loss and losing the QB is when they became a dumpster fire.

Yes they should... Still can't believe GA lost and no way on hell would I ever imagine Miami losing to Pitt who is sub 500... However, my team got its ass kicked by Iowa who has lost every game since... No one is stepping up...
