Read the article Rideit, I gotta say, the opening line... what latest gin craze?

Sure there’s more variety now than ever but it’s still a bourbon crazed world out there. Fine by me either way. I get loads of good gin cheap as a result I guess.

Its a bit smoother than Beefeater. Better be for 2500 a bottle.

If ever in Salida hit mayor Woods distillery for a Monet Water Lily. He also happens to be a pretty big time backcountry ripper.

The correct Gin and Tonic: List 'em up Maynard.

This may have been posted before, but the Kirkland Gin makes a tasty G&T. 88 proof, a little less than Tanq or Beefeaters, and the like, but less than 18 for a handle.

Edit...it has been, by me, last year!

I've said it before, but I bet we could drink together.

I contemplated the Kirkland gin this last week, but the LLS is still selling grips of Beefeater for 24.99. Until the 1.75mL gin arbitrage game changes, I can't stray from the Beef.

I rounded out the last of winter on both of these and negronis made for a nice transition into gin and tonic season. Which, for the record, started on March 1.

Did I mention that the 15 yo neighbor broke into our house and stole some booze? That included most of a fifth of Bombay Sapphire.

Ya. Left his boots under the window and went home in socks in the snow. We followed the tracks coming and going. It was actually pretty comical. Same incident. I am still sore. It's a shitty situation all around. Cops were called. No prosecution. Kid has a ton of issues. His biological mom's adoptive mother is/was his guardian. The mom lost all rights years ago. The grandmother is a great person but in over her head. The kid is in a residential setting now in some other part of the state. Kid had trauma early on in life. Developmental issues on top of that. He didn't understand why that even after cops and grandma made him apologize that i was still mad.

I like a little bitters in my G&T, usually Angostura or Fee Bothers. Store was out of everything but Paychaud’s. Never had it that I can recall. Tasty, and turned the drink a cool shade of light purple.

    Intriguing.
Pretty rare (unless it’s coming from the San Joaquin Valley as opposed to Portugal), it’s made both dry and sweet, and usually chilled, or with soda or tonic. Good stuff. But it’s nothing like gin.

So the 2nd time earnie tryed to dive into the shallow end the HoA banned the machine. It was a sad day. Earnie was a hellva guitar player so of course we named the neighborhood band No Diving after that.

That’s so not fair. Did the frozen coke machine dive in the shallow end? No, it didn’t. That’s misplaced blame imho.
