Tanqueray Ten for me when I go to a G&T. Love that gin. Very smooth. Schweppes for the tonic. A lime.

I need to try some of this Fever Tree tonic so see what I'm missing. A few varieties of it out there. What do I go with for their "basic tonic"?

It is fabulous. It used to sell so much better before they changed the bottle. The formula remained the Same. Good stuff

To grill, G&T (Hendricks, found another bottle of Fever Tree and a whiff of roses) in hand.

81 today, now the evening breezes are coming across the woods and it's cooling.

Bombay sapphire, lime wedge and lime concentrate with Fever Tree Indian Tonic. Schwepps is disgusting. I also enjoy a nice Vodka Tonic, same as above. Either Titos or Monopolowa Vodka.

Buster, what is this " roses" you speak of?

    Intriguing.
Curiosity was what led me to purchase my first bottle. WP tastes like the intersection of white wine, vermouth, and sherry. I guess a WP&T is an interesting wine spritzer.

The correct Gin and Tonic: List 'em up Maynard.

If you really like G&T's, try a Myer's and tonic sometime.

It's more about how you mix it than the gin. And don't get big bottles of tonic water. Get cans or the little Canada Dry bottles. Otherwise you get a flat gnt.

Wint & Lila in the opaque white bottle is the bees knees when it comes to gt's. Really bright, elegant, citrus driven Spanish gin. But I'm not much of a tonic guy so I use Citadel for most of my gin cocktails and St George dry rye for my martinis. Leopold's new summer gin is mighty slick in that new school, less dry way if you're looking for something new and fabulous. But it's still hard to beat Hendricks for just good old fashioned sipping with a cube.

Edit: No, I can't say what I was gonna say, but it's a very clean, dry gin. No hint of peat.

Doesn't anyone drink fucking Beefeater anymore?

Can't miss dry gin. More dry and less botanical than Tanqueray and a nice alternative to Hendricks when you're feeling prolateriat.

+1 on the 8oz tonic bottles. Nothing worse than flat tonic. Fever Tree if you're feeling wealthy.

Fresh lime wedge. Dried out fruit ruins a drink.

Looks like I know what's on tap for this evening.

Tangueray for me, with fresh lime.

usually get a 1 liter of tonic water, whatever is on sale, and make sure to use it within a few nights. I don't usually measure the gin.

had quite a few last weekend hanging with dad at camp, but they all tasted sweet to me, not crip. Thinking it was the tonic? I unintentionally took a different route up so my store options were limited and I ended up with grocery store brand diet tonic.

I seem to not get hangovers from proper G&T though, unless I seriously over indulge and go 5 or 6 deep in an evening
