Avalanches and atmospheric rivers

Our paper on atmospheric rivers and avalanche fatalities in the western US was published in the May issue of the Journal of Hydrometeorology.

Thanks to the American Avalanche Association for kicking down the scrilla via a graduate research grant to make it open access so y'all can read it, find its flaws, and flame about it here.
