Ha! from the CL post on that 55: "this one is pretty clean and shouldn't take a lot to get really nice"
Boy, I'd sure hate to see one that would take a lot of work. What, just a picture of an empty lot with some FJ wheels in it with a VIN tag and a title? "All you need is a clean frame, body, drivetrain, electrics, suspension, interior, glass, fresh paint and she'll be as good as it gets. These old 'yotas are hard to find, this one has just a little bit of rust, making the entire vehicle hard to see in the pictures. I bought this baby 25 years ago for a song, turned it into the gloriously rusted out piece of shit you see before you and would now like to stake my claim in the FJ gold rush. Should be ULTRA reliable once YOU do EVERYTHING!! 16K firm. NO scammers or low-ballers!!! Don't waste MY time."
I can think of better ways to spend my money, but I can't deny the bad-ass factor of these trucks. If we're gonna wear uniforms, we should all wear somethin' different!

80 series land cruiser futures
I'm on the fence about unloading a 96 with the e diff locks, stock, 170k miles, body and paint decent except missing end caps on running boards, interior ok, small worn spot on driver seat, ac charged and running well, recall replacing brake cyl but nothing else. And it's red
What would price police say?

After much deliberation, we are going to put our 1991 Land Cruiser on the market. We're going to use the money for fixing up our Westy.
Pics to follow ASAP. Land Cruiser Maroon.
190K
Automatic transmission
stock differential lock
tires pretty new
just put new thermostat in
leak somewhere in power steering
pesky heater hose problem recently fixed
we have the third row jump seats
needs seat covers
I'm thinking probably $5K in the paper next week and some sort of mag deal well below that.Ski Shop - Basement of the Hostel

You're doing it wrong. Sell the Westy and keep the LC. I had a few FJ55's years ago and turned one into the greatest go anywhere stealth rv. I pulled the back seat and made a flat floor with hinged panels to access the now open space. I built a box that ran the length of the drivers side from the front seat to the tailgate and put a 5 gallon fresh water tank hooked up to a hand pump and sink with a drain hose that went to the outside when the door was open slightly and by the gate I put a hole in the counter top that a propane stove sat in. Mine had an electric back window so I could open it an inch or two to vent the gas when I used the stove. I had lots of hidden storage in the space under the floor and more than enough room to lay flat for comfortable sleeping.

I'm gonna sell my black one after the eclipse. It's a 96 black edition with 165k miles, fox shocks, ome medium springs, and 80% Cooper st maxx 33". No magic locker button, but I have a lunch box locker I can toss in the rear if you want.
Here is a little teaser...
