Getting stoked for my trip at the end of the month! Anyone going to be around Cham during March 27-April 9? Only have my first week booked, keeping week 2 open as a wild card.

If any of you come across to Verbier here’s a nice list of some off piste itineraries:

Any recs for transportation from Geneva airport to Cham? I know there's a ton of options, trying to thin the heard.
Also, what's a good weather source for the valley?

We used mountain dropoffs, and also think they are fine.
It seems Chamexpress and easybus are det ones to steer clear of. At least thats what I'm hearning.
You can take a regular buss for just 19 euros though. Ouibuss. Starts and stop in Chamonix Sud, which is pretty much downtown. So depending on where you live, that saves you a whole lot of money.

I reserved with Mountain Dropoffs. Will Get confirmation in 24hrs.
My bnb is about a 20min walk (according to google) from downtown. From webcams it looks like there's not much snow in the valley (of course that can change)... Bus stop is a 5-10 min walk, but I was wondering if it'll be easy to rent a townie bike or something this time of year to make getting to and from downtown easier...

I went to Chamonix in January and used Alpybus, pretty easy, a bit disorganized, and fast. Took Ouibus on the way back, cheap, comfy, and a bit slower. I showed up in Geneva with no plan whatsoever, no shuttle, lodging, or tickets, and it was pretty easy to figure it out on the fly.

Town is pretty easy to get around in. It is not very big , mostly flat, but if you.are 20 minutes from the downtown you might be up in the hill, so a big may not be that helpful. It is easy to figure out when you get there .Most hotels have free train cards.
I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...iscariot

I'm here now. You are right, there isn't a whole lot of snow in the town. All roads are clear and most sidewalks are clear, but some sidewalks outside town still have snow on them and hasn't been cleared at least the last month. But that is changing very rapidly. Biking isn't a problem at all at this time IMHO, but I have only seen a couple of people doing it.

So I'll look like a local then biking in snowboard boots with my board on my back? Sweet!
Looks like mostly flat from my spot to city center. And of course, I'll figure it all out when I get there but this week at work is 90% overthinking my trip and getting excited and 10% bs.

Despite ski bags getting lost in the O’hare cluster fuck on the way out, our first two days have been choice! A foot of fresh at GM and some superb first tracks down a colouir off the ridge above Vallorcine. Ski bags showed up at midnight and now we’ve got the Midi/valle blanche today, guided day tomorrow then over to Italy Thursday.

Mountain Dropoffs is fine, as long as you don't get the Russian driver who's trying to make up time on the way to the airport. Way scarier than any line in the mountains.
