Our co-founder Dave Scanlan was offered an amazing opportunity to return to his home in Alaska and serve as GM at City Owned Eaglecrest Ski Area.

MRA is honored to have worked with Mt Abram since 2011 and is proud of our accomplishments.

Do you draw a salary for all this, and how much?

    Yeah! WTF!
God forbid someone from making a little coin while doing good things for the ski industry.

No, we do not draw salaries but do offer consulting services and earn most of the proceeds from the sale of Mountain Playground Cards.

We hope to one day soon get the opportunity to fully operate our own ski area and set a new benchmark for 21st century community owned ski areas. Until then, we will continue to advocate for smaller, mom and pop ski areas and remain immersed in the ski industry.

The forum had some extensive discourse about this sphere of topics a few years back....for any of you interested, I'll give you a link.

This whole "small ski area's under threat" scenario is near and dear to me. I feel like our local skiing could go poof at any time...makes me nervous.
