Wild send Scandella and Pominville (didn't think we'd over get rid of that contract) and 4th round pick to Buffalo for Ennis and Foligno and a third round pick. Love this move. Free up $5 million in cap space, get back some much needed grit / protection for our little guys.

Free agency kicks off tomorrow. Should be an interesting day.

Also, McDavid. 8 years, $106 million being thrown around. Spendy, but how can't you?

McDavid gets paid. 8 years, $100 million. Highest cap hit in NHL history.

Wild lock up Nino a few days and Grandlund minutes ago. Our cards are dealt. Looks like another good regular season and a round one or two playoff exit again. Prove me wrong boys.

Bruins look good, fade, look good, fade, look good towards the end and disappear in crunch time.

I don't even need to watch hockey this year.

Wild ink Matt Cullen to a one year, $1 million deal. Some nice depth at center at a great value. Oilers sign Draisaitl to a 8 year, $68 million deal. They make their bed with him and McDavid.

Wild playing their first preseason game tonight night. Guess it's getting to be that time of year.

Wild extend Koivu for two more years at $11 million total. A bit much IMO. Proves centers are hard to find. $4 ish range was more what I was thinking.

Exactly. Bring back essentially the same team from last year, but this year will be different. Question for the season - can Stalock be the consistent quality backup for Dub's? Dub's was just worn out by the end of last season and wasn't sharp in the playoffs.

Uh oh...just saw that Barry Melrose picked my Lightning to win the Cup.

    Douchebag.

If we can avoid the injuries of last year we might prove him right though.

Better seats: 1. immediately behind the penalty box, 2. against the glass in a corner, or 3. one row back on a side?

Not behind the sin bin. The corner is a good view for action down low (and a lot of teams like to cycle the puck on offense). Only problem is if the game isn't close, you have the potential to only have 1 period where you can see what's going on (maybe 2 depending on what end of the rink you're on).
Sitting one row up behind the benches would probably be my choice.

All 3 options suck IMO but #2 is least offensive. Top rows of bottom bowl (or suite) in the corner of the team I'm cheating for's offensive end (2 periods of offense).

Really? No one here has any appreciation for a player demanding cocaine and relieving himself on the drink cart mid flight?

    This place is slipping.

Went for option 2 on the end where my team shoots twice. First time sitting behind the glass so we'll see.

Flames finally slay the dragon in Anaheim, their first win there since 2007 and first regular season win since 2004.

I had a feeling they'd win so it was worth the drive up...

Costly win for my Wild last night. Coyle - broken tibia. On LTIR. Nino - high ankle sprain. Out three weeks. Foligno - fractured facial bone. Out a week. That on top of Parasie out with back issues and Grandlund out with an ankle sprain. Yikes!

At least we can spend Coyle’s cap hit to bring up guys since he is on the LTIR.

Not the start to the season I was hoping for.
