obviously I'm fired up about this

slashing is not a black and white penalty, it actually requires the ref to make a judgement call that is pretty easy to make. did it cause the player to lose control of the puck? was it in a sensitive area (between pads)? was their intent to injure?

if none of those boxes can be checked it's not a fucking penalty. jesus h christ

Help me out here... What reasons are there to slash your opponent other than injure him or make him lose control of the puck?

Parasie to have back surgery for a herniated disk, as soon as tomorrow. Will be out 6-8 weeks. More bad news for the Wild.

    OFFICIAL 2017-2018 NHL THREAD

The Vegas train just keeps rolling. They're a lock to be best home team this year

Jumbo recently quoted on nhl.com as saying " I love Vegas". Wow...stop the presses...ya don't say Joe?

Shocker coming from the guy that, without a doubt, leads the league in number of different cell phones and secret families

My Wild showing some signs of life again. It will be a battle for the 7th or 8th place playoff spot for us this year. No doubt it will come down to the last week of the season. Hope we heal up, get Nino back. See what Parasie does after his surgery. Both expected back next week.

Havenít seen many Vegas games. Unreal the season they are putting together.

    Guy's a total legend.

I did notice that he looks to have aged significantly in past couple years...looking a little frail.

Home playoff games will never be the same without him (fist) pumping the crowd up

Heís good. Guy in Chicago takes the cake though.

West is tight this year. Shaping up to be an interesting end to the season.

My Wild are diseased on the road. Iíll be shocked if we get the 7th or 8th playoff spot.

    Yeah I think it's time, I mean he's 78 years old, but it's been a good run.

I'd have a hard time arguing Kutcherov isn't the best player in the world right now.

Big Bruins win in MSG tonight, 6-1. I'm strting to feel it a little bit with this team, such a mix of young and old, lots of skill, speed and experience. I was sick of Chara about 5 yeras ago but he keeps on chugging along, he leads the team in minutes and he's still a presence out there.

B's lead the league by a big margin in goals scored by rookies, but they still have a good core left from the '11 Cup winners...Marchand, Bergeron, Krejci, Chara, McQuaid, Krug, Rask, Khudobin (who played great tonight)....not predicting but this team is good.
