What was pending has come to pass

I've found a project on which to chew
One new and fresh and cool
So I write some code and prototype
A means for sound to rule.

My Mom has dimensia
In a land that's far away.
I'm told that she's too sick to move
And that there she'll have to stay.

So grapple with the troubles
And ways and costs and stuff
Make sure that everything is covered
So that Moms care is more than enough.

Old dad was tough old school
Never knew what he was thinking
He played close his cards and feelings
He'd lie without even blinking.

Emo vampires now arise
In response to Dads passing.
I can't tell if it's pray or prey
In their ongoing verbal gassing.

The ratsnest of finances
And paying for Moms care
Requires a lot of focus
And winnowing of hot air.

But as I solve the problems
And negotiate with grief
The one thing I hate to admit
Is a feeling of deep relief.

So here's to new mornings

I am grateful for those words then and the fact that you have already found some sort of relief. The loss of a parent required much grieving for me and I can say to you now, It does get better
