Greyhounds. You rescue them for $300 or so, can foster them to see if they will work, they sleep 20-22 hours a day. Most are just glad to not be in a crate 24/7, and many have really good personalities. We had one or several and they are usually fully developed before snipped so they don't keep acting like a puppy. Only thing is that you may need to make friends with other greyhound owners in the area to go run them. We did this weekly until ours got old and didnt want to run as much.

Can't read that without thinking of post #34. Still laughing at the image.

At first, sometimes he'd get tired on walks after an hour or so. He'd "run out of batteries" and just lay down. He had to learn so much, stairs, city noises, all sorts of stuff.

Now, after a few months of being our dawg, he can sprint at bike speed for a couple of miles at least, and he plays mega hard with all the big cowdogs and retrievers at the beach. Vet saw him and said "that's a Jack Russell mix, keep exercising him, he's not delicate."

Little buddy....we sure love him. He's smart as fuck, about 90% of our walks he's off leash walking in the city, when we're in control-mode he's like a horse..."hey" or "whoa" stops him, "yah!" or "OK" starts him up again. People love it.

Glad the dog found another home.

I’m allergic, and I have a 90lb Shepard. I take Allegra yr round.

Those wired haired German hunting dogs are low dander and pretty cool.

I've found having a dog around is good. Getting close to pulling the trigger on another St Bernard.

Wanted: Dog-Related Advice and Wisdom from The Collective

Our cockapoo just woofs. Just for food or play. Waits for his walks, never asks. He is 6 now and has decided it's suddenly cool now to go apeshit barking at doorbells and if he hears raccoons in our yard. Not cool, buddy! It's kind of on me now though, cause this breed is really easy to train.

No issues whatsoever w dander. They don't get much more "hypo allergenic" than cockapoos. Smart dogs, easy to train, cuddly and like to play.
