Calling it...next wheel size is "28".

29, too big. 27.5, too small.

    28 will be puuuurfect.

28" wouldn't require a complete frame redesign, making the new bike that was released only 4 months ago obsolete.

Therefore, the bike companies will never go for 28.

Now that 29" is the DH wheel size, I'm guessing XC moves up to 36, but only after first going through 30, 31, 32, 34, so they can make a bunch of money off of their planned constant obsolescence.

    Look.

The biggest mtb wheel is 29".

The smallest MTB wheel is 12".

Obviously, the wheel size that must be best on average is 19.5".

So clearly, the ideal wheel size is actually a BMX wheel.

    It's simple math and science.

    2. I was making my comment in reference to the Walmart picture in the post.

    3. I know there are 36 and 32 currently available.

    4. Remind me what and how many non-boutique/major manufacturer bike brands have 32 and/or 36 for sale in bike shops?

Well if this is you're criterion, then 26" wheels are the wave of the future, for the same reason.

You call that a mountain bike? These are mountain bikes--and in their natural habitat (a sweet custom rack in a parking lot in Moab, obviously):

More genius from the bike industry. I'm sure this goes great with 28" wheels.

It's comical how you think everyone else is the Poseur Dork.

Revel in your embodiment of Irony, you feeble fattie.
