California’s Big Sur has closed a portion of scenic Highway 1

I did not see a thread about this.

this seems to be a very big deal.

From the photo's it looks like it might be years before 1 is back in business.

anyone got solid info on this.? It looks so bad they might have to completely change the path of 1

    Yes Fucking Brightbart.

They seemed to cover the story. there are even links to other relevant news sources.

but your worried about the source of the information rather than the real issue?

I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

The story is real. The reason we're "worried" about the source of the info is because Breitbart flat out lies to their sheeple. It's one thing to choose a slanted news outlet like Fox on the right or MSNBC on the left, but while those provide slanted political news, they generally can be trusted to provide news, actual factual stories. And if a story is fake, as in it simply didn't happen, they won't have it on their site (or would pull it the second the fakery was discovered). Same can't be said of Breitbart.

They removed 1.4 million cyds from the Feather River below Oroville Dam in a month. It'll be a big effort but totally doable.

Yes, but I bet they don't "live" there except for a few weeks a year.

That's a beautiful section of coastline but having a road right on the coast in that stretch is pretty sketchy between Carmel and San Simeon.

Looks like they're already sitting on the debris from a previous slide if you look upslope from the circle you marked. That entire stretch of coast is unstable.

By any measure you're well ahead of Breitbart in getting money from gullible TGR members clicking on links.

Yep. The entire coast range is what's known as an accretionary wedge. It's all ocean sediments that were scraped off and mounded up as the Pacific plate subducted under the North American plate. There's really nothing cohesive about it.

You're so negative about it. What I want to know is how to I get out there and stake a claim to that newly formed 5 acres of oceanfront property?
