    WTB: 8 wt reel

Anyone looking to unload an 8 wt reel?

Looking to spend 200 to 300.

Needs to be able to right hand retrieve.

I have the reddington behemoth on my 8 wt. drag has only been used on trout in rivers and large pike in still water, feels great. I am not sure how it will hold up with some salty fish, I hope to find out. It is big and picks up line fast. also balances out my BVK pretty well (at the top of the handle). I realize this is not what you're looking for but at 110.00 this thing is a great deal.

shit you can get one on backcountry right now for 59.00! done.
    believe me its real.

Check out the Hydros SL from Orvis. It's a very nice reel for ~$200.

I find that the size III w/gelspun backing balances my 9' 8wt H2 better than the recommended size IV. The reel is a bit chunky, but has held up and performed well for me from Montana to Mexico.

Im going to 2nd the behemoth. I have 2 of them. One for my 7 weight streamer rod/bonefish
And a 9 weight for permit. I have had permit on and several blazing runs to the backing and no complaints with the reel. Operator error and a hungry shark means no permit pictures.
This toothy guy worked over my 7 weight reel pretty good though and again no complaints.
I probably wouldn't use it as a daily driver on the salt. But sadly, i don't need a day driver for the salt.

I will buy this reel. How's $250 sound? I'll cover shipping. What color is it?

I will sell you my hardly used (less than 3,000 clicks) bright green reel. It is fully equipped with pink backing and a brand new chin strip.
1 zillion pesos and we split shipping.

Bright green? Must be a Cheeky. Get outta here with that shit and your flat brim.
The chin strap sounds nice though. Do you have the Rexfly adapter?

With your Rexfly adapter and my chin strap we could dominate the Tenkara Pro Tour. Although, I believe the official tour dress code requires you to abandon your hatred of the flat brim.
