No helmet, no problem in Hawaii. Wanna sit in the back of a truck? Go for it. Cops get a stipend to drive their own personal vehicles, so it wasnt weird to see a trashy mustang with police lights pull over and scoop people off the Pali.
"Sucka all pau."
"Scrape that lolo buggah off da groun."

Not if Trump remains president. I suppose we could re-elect Billy Clinton.

It's a hot topic.
My wife is President of a school bus transportation company. School buses are extremely safe because of the high padded seats and compartmentalization.
Studies show seat belts would only save about two kids a year. But would cost billions to retro fit, reduce capacity and be almost impossible to make the kids wear.
Kids get killed after the get off the bus.
The money would be better spent on education and enforcement of current stop arm laws.

So let me get this straight. Back in the day people were outraged about photo radar vans, which were so blatantly obvious it was shocking that anyone was dumb enough to ever get a ticket. But they were a cash grab!!!
Now they have cops dressed like the village people hiding out at intersections to bust people for cell phones? Hilarious....

A similar law already exists up here in BC. Cops will even dress up like bums or construction workers and stake out busy intersections.
Fine for first time offence works out to $568 or so.
360000 tickets handed out since 2010, and apparently the number given out has been in decline for the past couple years. Dunno if people are learning or cops are slacking off::.:..::::.::.:.::..::.

Even without single payer society pays.
TBI veggie pants pooping no helmet dude cannot work. Cannot pay insurance premiums, cannot pay co pay. Even if a trustafarian, money is likely to run out.
Even if insurance covers it, society still pays.
I guess farmer would like a world where no helmet bro was just left on the street to die if he couldn't pay?
