I just watched this never seeing the original series and it was bizarre. Will they fill in some of the blanks or is this just the way it is ? It felt like Eraserhead. Intrigued but not sure how long I will hang on.

Spoiler alert.
So I went back and watched the original series and my wife and I really enjoyed it. It really made us enjoy the new return series even less. It has none of the charm of the original. I will still watch it but I cringe at all of the Agent Cooper as Dougie as an idiot scenes. The only scene that was great was Lucy and Andys kid coming to visit which was really funny. I can't imagine anyone really liking this outside of Lynch hardcore fans. I hope it turns the corner but 7 episodes in and I am super dissapointed. Agent Cooper was the centerpiece of the whole series and we have yet to see him.License to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations

Episode 8 was crazy AF! Can't wait to see what happens now.
Watched every episode of the original series at least 2x. I am liking the new season a lot.
