Michelin PS4S. Had the PSS on my last car, thought they were pretty excellent and was excited to try these. Running Blizzak WS80 on the oem wheels for the other 6 months of the year.

Everytime I get new tires, I feel like a little kid who got new shoes and can now run faster.

I still fondly recall a morning driving to Bear Valley on CA-4. They had just given the road a new overlay and I had just installed new CompTA’s on the RX-7.
    Sticky, sticky fun.

That must have been a blast. You couldn't really ask for a better car for that road and with clean smooth pavement... Mmm mmmmm yummy

06 tundra with 5 inch lift and no diff drop kit now has new cvs, a diff drop kit, new front brakes, brake lines as well as a new return side power steering line. 4 hrs wrenchin, 1 trip to advanced auto for majority of parts (15% off) 1 trip to autozone for power steering line that we discovered leaking, 1 trip to orielly for 6 inch brake hardlines and tube bender for the lines that snapped to the calipers (future project steel braided brakelines), 3 lil sleezer pizzas to feed my buddies kids (mom not home) 13 utah coronas consumedduring the wrenchings 5 high point IPAs for the after.

Wrenching on trucks is too easy. Toyotas especially (gonna regret these words). Timing belts next.Click image for larger version.

Got one seat just about finished. Took me forever cause I am lazy and the kids stay up too late because it is still light out.
Fairly satisfied. Disappointed with how the back of the seat bottom is not flat, as there was no metal rod in the back 2/3 of the cushion. But after sitting in it a few times, it ought to be fine.Click image for larger version.

Taking the truck out of town for a month starting tomorrow, caliper seized last night. Everything is rusted together - breaker bar, anti seize, heat... saltwater environments are not friendly!

Summer just started but I'm already looking towards winter. Got some dirt cheap 17" Audi S4 wheels for my A3, will be giving them a good scrub and re-finishing them, then eventually throwing some winter meat on them.

My main battery 90ah was 25% charge. Drip charger only took a few hours to get to 100% and typically takes longer. Does a faster charge cycle mean the battery is losing capacity? That’s my guess as it is at least 5 y/o.

It’s throwing convenience disabled warnings on startup is how I knew it was low.

What is "Replace with coated calipers and rotors and leave Utah" for $400, Alex?...

So are those captive rotors (by design)? Or does the rotor hat slide right off the studs in the shop manual?

    And nice shop floor, btw.

Always likes those rims. Even on similar vintage VWs.

Pulled the ZF5 out of the '92 525iT a friend ditched at my house. Had so much loose metal in there that it looked like it had a second drain plug. On the hunt for a new trans I guess.

Did brakes on all four corners and new front wheel bearings on my LX470. Not a hard job, but a long one. The old bearings were totally fine, but I don't have any documentation of maintenance history so I had new ones on hand and threw them in since it was apart anyway. The kit that Cruiser Outfitters puts together for it is great.

Waiting on the last piece for the sleeping platform for the back of the LX, then going to seal the wood, put it all together, and get some carpet for it. It'll be nice to get out of a tent and off the ground for that cold/windy/rainy camping, but a RTT is way overkill for me.

Picked up a '98 540i that's sunfaded to hell and back, runs like shit, leaks everything, and the power steering sounds like a tweaker fucking a box of rocks. The body and interior aren't too beat and it probably wouldn't take a ton to get it to a good driver, but the sun damage kinda kills it. The 6 speed is gonna go into my '99 540i along with a handful of other small stuff, then it's gonna get stripped for everything left on it worth a shit and scrapped. I've never had the room to store a car to part it out before, so it'll be a learning experience for sure.

05 Odyssey with a broken shift cable that won't shift out of park. Didn't feel like dealing with it and had it towed to a neighbor shop open in a Saturday. They took a quick look and said the shift linkage from the transmission is broken and won't be able to tell it the transmission needs to come.out or not until Monday when they can put it up on a rack. Has anyone ever heard of a shift linkage not being replaceable from outside the transmission ?

The linkage itself is almost certainly outside the transmission, however, it could very well be on the top of the transmission, and require at least dropping the transmission a fair amount in order to get access to it. On BMWs at least, the transmission does not NEED to be lowered to fix linkage, but I would lower it to be able to see what is buggered and have a much easier time repairing.
On an Odyssey, it is probably a transverse fwd type setup. A quick Google search indicates the transmissions on those are problematic. Expensive problematic.

This is my second Odyssey. The post 04 transmissions are much better and I got this one pretty cheap. It runs great, just a freakish failure. Planning on swinging by a transmission parts place on my way to work this morning and see if they have a detailed parts diagram. Spent some time online but no real info.

Ambient temp sensor in my 09 Forester seems to be running 8 hours behind actual outdoor temp. Walked out to a mid to high 70s morning and car said 67F. By the time I got to work it said 68F. Pretty sure it was at least 81 or 82F by then. Should I bother to replace the sensor under the bumper? Batteries in TPMS sensors are also crapping out on me. Gonna do those next time I buy 4 tires.

If you replace it, it may restore auto climate control functions.... If they are not working.

I don't have that. Old school heat and A/C controls only..
