TR: East Face Teewinot
East Face Teewinot, 5/10/17
Had a good ski descent on Teewinot the other day. Not many actual ski photos this time, but plenty of scenic shots! 1:40 AM wake up had us hiking by about 2:30. We were just below the Idol and Worshipper around sunrise.

Two hours later we were on the summit of Teewinot.

And of course the obligatory summit scramble.
Hossack-MacGowan anyone?
The Grand and Mt. Owen
And then it was time to ski. 5,500' vert to the bottom.
It was good corn skiing pretty much top to bottom. The upper face had some big runnels but it was good skiing as long as you stayed on the ribbons of corn.
Fun to tick this line off the list. And now it looks like it's going to snow again this week. Classic Yellowstone!Last edited by Ted26; 05-13-2017 at 11:33 AM.
