    ZION camping advice?

    a week from now (5/18-23/17) just pulled off last minute few days....plan is to loop to Zion (from Denver) car camping, a couple of cheap motels OK...we can figure out stuff on the way but want 2? days into Zion....quick check of the ZNP campsites all full (Watchman)...South campground is first come first serve....any advice for someplace to stay a week from now? any advice how difficult to get a spot in South campground? not psyched about camping in RV campgrounds but could survive...a quick check of motels reserved and not cheap...any thoughts/advice?? thanks, Chet
