Yeah. Some dipshit was going on about how Shiffrin wasn't a natural athlete. His proof was that she struggled to do a pull up in some video from her teens.

Candide isn't a natural athlete. He's a freak of nature put onto earth by stoke aliens.

his mind has to be a freak of nature as well. i know gravity works on everybody the same but he literally looks like he drops differently than every other skier to me. his take-offs seem to launch him higher, faster than most and then he comes down at a seemingly steeper angle but softer. it's not a tear drop but my brain wants to say tear drop. inverted tear drop lying slightly to the side. maybe it's something about the way he pulls is knees up.

Ya, he's pretty small. It's what is required if you want a long career hucking

He has had lasting power, which is rare in skiing at those levels.
There aren't a lot of comebacks.

^^^ Beat me to it. I had a laugh when I read that. I think he lands softer because he goes bigger, which gives him more time to slow or speed up his rotations. That and he's a fucking alien sent to entertain us, as stated earlier. So cool how he skis some of those lines in Montgenevre in full view of the lifts nearby.

I think his alignment is a bit off, but Ill defer to the PSIA coach of coaches to tell us how he can improve.

I see what you mean by tear drop. I suspect it’s just a super natural level of spatial awareness that enables him to be perfectly centered on every landing (or at least the ones on video). Most people are ok with a back slap if they recover and stay upright, he seems to always land on skis with only skis touching the snow. He pulls off what we all envision when we go for a drop.

agree- as much as I like sage, it's as if candide were born with skis on his feet. he's like a skiing tigger bouncing off everything. and also 2nd the poster that talked about his winning basically all the various disciplines outside racing

I wonder if candide's boots ever hurt? or is he supernatural and never experiences cold and boot pain like the rest of us?
