It could be called the Million Moron March - except it looks like it was what…20,000 protestors?
And outnumbered 4 to 1 by counter protestors.

Ah yes, a good history refresher. It was pretty tense after the bombing. I cant see why tge US, UK and us think Modi is any better trading partner thsn Xi. Splitting hairs on that one. I guess they think they can play one off on the other. The tangled web of internat diplomacy. The real risk. I guess ill stick to the boardgame

Now are clueless leader is backtracking and Bill Blair is floating a rumour that Trudeau's plane was sabotaged when it was delayed with technical issues. This government is a circus of liars and fools. It embarrassing. Proof. Show the damn proof but he darn not bc in don't believe there is any. Canada needs an adult as PM and he should resign. Put Freeland in as PM and by the time the election happens the liberals will be a minivan party as it happened in Ontario.

Dude, you put up a video from a guy who's employer rails against FAKE NEWS, reported a bunch of propaganda from India as fact, tars the Iran nuclear deal as the greatest faux pas ever (thanks to that moron Trump for fucking it) and and then spends how many minutes on the bigots promoting "straight pride" and other nonsense.
I thought you were a reasonable person before but this MAKE CANADA GREAT AGAIN act is tiring.
If this was for JT's gain, then surely he would have pulled a stunt like this at some other point his numbers were in the shitter.
I am begging you to leave the nonsense south of the border. Seeing proof is a reasonable ask but the conspiracy theories and binge drinking isn't necessary.j'ai des grands instants de lucididididididididi

Kenny I truly hope you aren't a Pano dude alias. Keep american style conspiracy bullshit out of our country. We've enough faux news swallowing right wing nutjobs here as it is. And I will caveat this by expressing my dislike of idiot left wing wackos.

If Trudeau was on good terms with Modhi and then India killed a Canadian citizen in Canada the same fools would be pulling their hair out about how “Trudeau supports the assassination of Canadians! He needs to resign! Fuck Trudeau!”
Instead Trudeau is not on good terms with India and they’re like “This is bullshit! He’s making this up! He needs to resign! Fuck Trudeau!”
Unhappy and loud hypocrites in both countries are the new pandemic.

I have no idea why any of you re thinking the way you do. The vdeo had some points I was not aware of and expressed the level of frustration many feel. I didn't say I was all in on it.
I hope you all realize something. I used to be a lifelong Liberal and I did vote for Trudeau in 2015. Now I will never vote for that shit for brains ever again.
The end.
What else would like to point out?

When the Seals killed Bin Laden did they have to release the DNA results before people allowed themselves to believe?
Since when are every day citizens entitled to state secrets and classified intelligence?

This week in Canada.
Huh, didn’t know you lived in Papineau, Kenny
Guess that explains the drunk posting
Have to admit, if I was in Harper’s riding on ‘06, I would most likely have cast my vote for him, but locally, Cullen was an easy choice over Scott. By 2015, it was hard not to get caught up in the ‘Anything But Harper’ campaign, but I still voted for local representation with judge Sundhu even if Kam-Thom-Cariboo will likely never go anything but con for the foreseeable future.

Kenny, a lot of points in that video are unsubstantiated and low quality. He makes a lot of accusations about Nijjar and Singh (and Trudeau) that simply appeal to you so you don't appear to question them. Go through the video and try to find proof from outside of India about a lack of citizenship, Jagmeet calling for violence etc. Then you post a tweet speculating on sabotage with the plane? Are you addicted to this kind of low quality outrage porn? This is drawing a straight line to what exists in the states (or borrows from it).
Don't like HRC -> she must have a pedo dungeon
Don't like JT -> He manufactured a crisis with India for his own benefit
Why not get some proof before coming up with that or that Nijjar wasn't a citizen, a fraudulent marriage, etc? And especially, leave the divisive stuff about Obama south of the border.
It isn't just on SM that does this, my dad sent me this op-ed in the WSJ. Look how many shots this guy takes at JT. Nobody on 9/11 was out there writing smears about the dumbest president we had in 200 years, because we were attacked. Why doesn't he get the same opportunity to figure out what happened?
I used to worry that Canada would end up just as dysfunctional and idiotic as the states, I just didn't realize it was sadly already there.
The last thing I'll say about this is that I have the privilege of not being in charge when I voice any of these opinions. It is possible that the right political thing to do would have been to say nothing. But do I personally want to live in a world where powerful countries like Russia (killing former citizens in the UK), or Saudi Arabia (killing journalists), or India feel empowered to make their own rules on other soil? I don't even think they're entitled to kill civilians in their own countries and to say that they're, like India, so indispensable against China that they can do whatever they want, buy russian gas and weapons, etc, sends the wrong message.
I'm not in charge though and I presume that they had reason to make such a serious accusation.
And of course the people who suggest otherwise believe JT made truckers get vaxxxed before going to the states, promote the million moron march for straight pride, etc. YMMVj'ai des grands instants de lucididididididididi

does anybody in Canada really vote for the leader or do they vote for local representaion ?
we had people demonstrating against Trudeau last election on the Bulkley bridge, OK so you don't like JT I could understand but Bulkley Stikine has gone NDP by huge margins for the last 15yrs, probably cuz > 30% of the pop. are FN, and probably why there isn't even a real liberal candidate in the riding SO here is 6 people wasting a saturday morning campaigning against a leader/party who could not possibly elect a candidate in the riding which doesnt sound very smart to me
Cuz there isnt even a Liberal TO vote for I will vote NDP cuz I have alwasy voted for buddy from when he was Mayor and I was his sign guy, so I still put up his signs cuz i like the guy, he is smart, he was smart enough to quit telemarking and go AT, If I see him in a bar he buys the beer, he bought the beer last week and talked about having to go back to Ottawa which sounded brutalLast edited by XXX-er; 09-22-2023 at 12:34 PM.

This week in Canada.
Exactly. Protesting the PM outside of Ottawa or their home riding doesn’t really accomplish much. Real political change in our system happens when you get out and join the local political party of choice, get engaged in their outreach and promotions. And just volunteering in the community in general. Flag and placard waving here for politics is a fool’s errand.

I recently read an artical where the writer said that all the ridings that really count are in Ontario / Quebec and nothing out west really matters ?
So ol PP breath wates his time by flying last week to speak at a rally in town a local scribe from the inferior news was offering that PP could take the riding away from the NDP this time yadayada but then mentions that the Cons havent announced a candidate yet and neither have the libs, proably cuz neither has a candidate, obviuosly buddy had to write something but I think it will happen when pigs fly
last time somebody from vancover had his name on the ballot for the libs so the party could say they ran a candidate and he was unsuccessful
The con candidate looks anything but conservative, she is a tattoo shop owner who looks like one of the island boys but apparently she has now failed too many times to be allowed to run again according to their party constitution so who knows what happens now ?
meanwhile the incumbent NDP guy has been driving/ flying/ sailing all over a riding bigger than most european countries kissing hands and shaking babies, meeting the people and doing shit for them
and of course buying his sign guy a beerLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

My bit is actively (getting involved with, ie hanging door info sheets) rooting for electoral reform. Our first past the post system is fucked. I've voted for every party over my lifetime including rhino (and in fact one election voted for the green party because their candidate did an amazing 1 hour synthisizer solo reminiscent of Jean Michel Jarre in an virtually empty quonset hut at the end a folk festival) so I deem myself pretty fucking non-partisan. I just despise the fact that around 30 % of the voters in the country can provide us a majority government, virtually nullifying the power of 70% of the voters. I'm not sure exactly what form the new electoral system should take ( I think there are a lot of positives for proportional representation), but reform is long overdue.

Amazing. All these politicians are so quick to want to pat themselves on the back for being such wonderful people - they forgot the most important step.
Everyone involved in this should be fired.

See this one I don't blame Trudeau- this was fully the Speaker's prerogative and the speaker's fuck up.
and he resigned.
