Thanks RT, it is actually a relief, as he was going down hill fast over the last 12 months and I really didn't want to see him put in a medical home. He died at home after giving heart disease the finger for 35 years, so it was a good day.

Ontario Premier Kathllen Wynne is raising the minimum wage from $11.40 to $15 an hour.
Since her reign the cost of living has gone throw the roof now she wants to win votes rather than work on creating really jobs. Better living standards is a good idea but all we'll do is cut hours to compensate. Big companies will do the same or leave the province.

I can't decide if that Ontario Premier lady(?) looks more like Orville Reddenbacher or Daniel Tosh in Drag.

Your're being to kind. She looks more like DD's mom.

Also that innocent fire hydrant deserves better. I hope the driver apologized

It was amusing witnessing the strike in Quebec City on Monday. Lot's of "strikers" in their union shirts and hardhats out for a nice picnic in the sun on the wall remnants overlooking the circle. And many more found sitting in cafes or playing tourist all over the city.

Comments are pretty funny esp. the "Good times never seemed so good..." "So good! So good! So good!" exchange.

That scanbc feed is always entertaining.

I used to get excited to see a Porsche on the road, but since moving down here a couple years ago I've become pretty desensitized to nice cars. That aventador would definitIy turn my head. I also saw a $350,000 lime green Gwagen parked at the mall last week. It had portal axles and was huge. That caught my attention.

No Idea why people daily drive vehicles so poorly suited to the task. They end up crashed into fire hydrants, or impounded for racing up the sea to sky highway.

Former registered nurse Elizabeth Wettlaufer, 49, who pleaded guilty in Superior Court in Woodstock, Ont., today to 14 charges including first-degree murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault, told the court that a "red surge" would come over her when she was about to kill someone.
Canada doesn't produce many mass murders. It's a wake up call when it happens. Makes me wonder if this sick behavior has happened many times in nursing homes or hospitals without the perpetrators being caught.

I was there only once and I need to get back and take in the sites, food and drink.
All maggots should go there at least once to see a truly unique and beautiful city with great food and seriously hot women. Did I mention the baked goods are out of this world. I'm having a pavlovian response right now thinking aboot it

To me, ever since they made Quebec a World Heritage site it's gotten kind of sterile at least within the walls and in the old town. I've been there many times since I was a kid and now it seems like it's gradually turning into a museum. Walk around the streets near the Chateau Frontenac and look closely and you'll see that many of the houses look nice but are unoccupied, I think in part because it's too hard to make any changes now. It seems more like Florence now, like a diorama not a real place. Still cool but a lot less real than it used to be.
