Riser what's going on with the floor?

Years of various leaking appliances have taken their toll on the subfloor. And, while we are arranging to have this bathroom and the one directly above it renovated by a contractor, they are booked solid until November. So I am doing the emergency repair myself on the one spot. It's too complicated for me to do it all myself. Our latest washer appears to have shit the bed and the floor was too far gone to put a new washer on. We can't go that long without a washing machine especially since we will have all three kids home for two months. Also, the remaining laundromat in my town is awful. I have to drive 12 minutes each way to a decent one. 20 minutes in the shiny new Speedqueen washers and then I bring the clothing home to use our dryer or hang it up. The older two kids are adults and can drive there on their own. The 17 yo can drive but since he's not an adult I am taking a little pitty on him. As long as he plans ahead. I'm not making special trips.

Getting warmer, so now I can drink coffee on my deck every morning and watch the Tree Swallows, (and Say’s Phoebes, House Wrens, Western Bluebirds), that nest here. (Thanks BigSteve.)
