Personal. Flew to and from Moldova via Istanbul. My dad is from from what is now Moldova and I have quite a few relatives there that I had never met. Ended up meeting five (5) cousins, saw some k00l stuff, and engaged in all manner of ill shit.

The pic below is what is left of the house my paternal grandparents built a hundred years ago, shortly after marrying. My dad was born there. I would have liked to have posted a picture of the front of the house, but there was no longer a front to photograph- the place was in pretty bad shape. We had a difficult time locating it, so we enlisted the assistance of some village elders, who kindly led the way (second pic). The final image shows what the road in front of the property looks like- that wagon clearly sees regular usage. A newer house was built on the property just off the road and is currently inhabited by a widow who just lost her husband four months ago. She was hurting, so I gave her a long hug. Not sure how she and her husband came to acquire the property.

This makes me miss Boise even though I can basically feel the 100 degree heat in the picture.

Thanks! No fishing, just hanging and hiking and maybe mountain biking.

Xpost from the golf thread because this is too cool for only golfers to see.
88 year old golf buddy known as Geezer Bob, who shot his age again today.
He's a great guy and sharp as a tack.
I hope i can walk if i live to that age.

These are sitting in the empty lot across from me. They haven’t moved in years, the military things appear to be in good shape. I’ve never seen any one around them.Click image for larger version.
