C5’s are stationed at Travis (on the west coast, not JBLM). A round at Cypress Links just off base will help you relive that experience nicely.

Amazed you have all those hummers....I tried to put 3 of them close together like that as the experts suggest and one bird dominates them all still.

It’s really crazy. We took that pic because we couldn’t figure out how many there were, (17 at one point). We’ve been feeding them in those feeders for 10 years and our previous record was 7. It’s not as busy in the morning but still:

The standard/usual: 1 cup sugar boiled into 4 cups water. I make a double dose everyday now. I’m a slave to the hummingbirds.
I thought a dozen of them or so would continue migrating, but... nooooooooo

lol, yeah. At least it didn't roll away on its own!

And it was in rough shape too, but the owner definitely has a sense of humor.

Guilty. Glad to see I wasn’t the only one on the flight this morning. All rows full. Only center seats open

Old Airbus. Cleanest one I have been on in DECADES. I thought for sure they would have sent all these old birds to the graveyard during these times.

Former Big Sky maggot AustinFromSA was a crew member on C-5’s. Loadmaster I think. He has good stories to tell flying all over the world back in the day. Really interesting some of the unusual cargo they carried sometimes. Fun guy to ski with too.

You sure you're not talking about Jumper Bones (Gabe)? He was definitely a loadmaster although I think it was C-17s. He's now an air traffic controller.
