This pool just started staying open year-round last year. Unfortunately I rarely swim there because the workout times aren't convenient for me.

Our community pool which has 50 meter lap lanes was shut down this past summer because the pool needed extensive work and they didn't budget for it, so i did virtually no swimming this year. I forced myself to go to the Y Saturday and swim and it was rejuvenating. I was able to swim my usual 2k meters, but had to take a couple of minutes rest between each 500m. During the winter months I usually just take cycling classes, but I'll be mixing in some swimming going forward. Such great exercise. My suit was a bit tight getting on, so that is extra incentive. I wouldn't say I'm fat, but not nearly in as good shape as usual due to no swimming this summer and my total hip replacement after a bicycle fall on Labor Day. Time to get back at it.

Seems to be a common thing. My normal pool has been closed since May for repairs, but is finally supposed to open again next week. I've been swimming, just not as much as usual. I'm glad Seattle is investing some money into repairs for the existing pools, but the city really just needs more pools. The pool from my photo is a private swim club that realized there are lots of teams looking for pool time so decided they could make some dough by staying open all year. At this point I think the pool is being used from 5:00 am till 10:00 pm.

Wow, that's a long season and a long day. With 50 meter lanes I heard that we could get plenty of swim teams to rent the pool for practice, thus funding any needed repairs, It didn't help that the guy in charge of the rec department just got busted for stealing funds and

    I don't see a problem.

She squirted. Like the floor is going to make a difference.

Time to split it and rock on brother!

BTW, you can get a bubble carb top that would probably give you an extra day or so if you are in the field.

    Best wishes.
