Sure is. Stopped by Sunday on way back from camping and pretty crowded.

Went Monday with the pup so he could swim and not too bad at all.

Almost 10 miles and 4,000 feet elevation gain. Not gonna lie, it sort of kicked my butt.

Took my sons deep into the swamps off the main waccamaw River this morning. Glass smooth water and not a soul around.

Is that Kirkland? I escorted a friend of mine as she swam across from Waverley to Magnuson this week, then I attempted swimming back across. It's hard, and I took a ton of breaks but there was no traffic out.

I saw a seal near the arboretum earlier this week but didn't get a picture

Yes we’re at cozy cove, technically yarrow bay, boarding Kirkland. Solid work on the swim, it would take big balls to do it today. We’ve seen seals in Kirkland a few times. It puts me on edge and I’ve called it in. Not sure how long they jive with fresh water.

Harbor Seals are fine in fresh water as long as they have food. I'd be worried more about the number of boats.

Well I've got your view but I don't know anything about identifying boats

Water feels great right now. I've been swimming open water all summer with the pools mostly closed, but primarily in Green Lake. Just a couple swims in Lake Washington, but next Saturday we've got a group doing the Fat Salmon race route which starts at the Day Street boat ramp just north of I-90 and ends at Madison Park Beach.
