Yeah that's Billy Zoom, apparently he has cancer, but I don't know how bad it is. John Doe still has hair but he's looking pretty old these days.

X played here this summer, I went and yeah, Billy Zoom sat in a chair, and yeah, John Doe still has hair, and yeah, they cranked it out. Good show.

That’s funny. My girlfriends been teasing me about the cost of our tomatoes too. I was hoping that you had gotten them from some fancy restaurant and paid a pretty penny for them so that I could show her how much the restaurant plate cost to justify my half acre of 5 gallon buckets growing tomatoes and peppers.....

Cancer? Shit, now I feel bad for mocking him. Well, good for him that he's still touring.

and re: John Doe... immortalized in a minutemen song.

    Mr. Narrator
This is Bob Dylan to me
My story could be his songs
    I'm his soldier child

    Our band is scientist rock
But I was E. Bloom and Richard Hell
    Joe Strummer, and John Doe
Me and Mike Watt, playing guitar

Other than sitting in a chair I thought Billy looked good and played well. Yeah, these guys are not spring chickens anymore!

Squeeze was good, too. They had seven people on stage. Not sure how they're making any money touring with a band like that.

Kind of a strange double bill, but both great bands. Sometimes I miss living in a real city.
