We used to have hens and a neighbor's cat would routinely come over and just sit outside the pen staring at them transfixed. After a few times, the hens were totally chill about it--no squawking or getting up on the coop or anything.

This is a young Bobcat. Cutest damn thing.

Got one of the girls before getting evicted. It's now is very interested in the coop.

Going to have to trap it tonight and take it for a drive tomorrow.

We've had one hanging around the orchard that borders the back of my property for the last few weeks. I haven't seen it but several workers from the orchard have snapped pics of it and based on a few crazy outbursts by my lab and golden, I'm guessing they have also.

    I've always liked watching them.

This one is hanging around now that it's gotten the taste if chicken. I can't shoot it, it's just a young cat trying to make it in a big new world with winter coming early.

Same here, great snap. Woke up early this morning and went for a headlamp cruise back through the orchard without the dogs looking for signs but saw nothing other than a very loud Barred Owl who was pissed I was spoiling its breakfast.

Not usual for cats to hang out here as we live in a somewhat populous (for VT anyway) area but clearly there are enough hiding places to stay relatively out of sight along with enough rabbits and or neighborhood cats to keep it hanging for at least a few weeks. I'm sure the local fox families are not happy about the new competition picking off their low hanging fruit.

Used to work in that building too at Bogle & Gates. I was on the the 48th floor there.

There are 44 floors in the City Centre Building. 56 floors in Two Union Square. 39th floor in CC is above the Sheraton so.... I'm thinking you're sitting around 51.

Went for a walk up our local trail. The gravel yard is grooming my ski slope for this years snowmageddon, Edible mushrooms are still available, and a rather good size "kitty" has been scratching bark off tree's. Up to 5' off ground and done within the last 4 - 5 days. Let's see if some pics came out.

My next door neighbor got trapped in her barn by a Coug awhile back and they're reported to exist here. My catnip will at least anesthetize me....don't know if I could placate a cat though?
