    The worst car

I got stuck behind a gem exactly like this today. For the better part of an hour and a half I was treated to the rear end view of possibly the worst car ever made thanks to some asshole wrecking on a 2 lane road with no turnouts in morning rush hour traffic.

A late eighties shitbox of the highest order: the LeBaron Town and Country convertible Woody. That's a fucking mouthful just saying it's name.

I still call it The Jake.

A friend of mine in high school had an Eagle like that. We all thought it was a giant piece of crap.

And then snowed. And he had the best car in the lot.

Nothing with wood paneling can be the worst car. Nor can a convertible be the worst car.

There's totally some dude driving a plain hardtop Lebanon who sees that one and gets jealous of the drop top and the wood panel steeze.

I grew up in Kenosha, WI...so I win (or lose).
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I remember my dad used to get Popular Mechanics magazine when I was a kid. When I first saw an ad for the Brat I thought it was the coolest vehicle I'd ever seen--mostly because of those seats.

That might be Lee Iacocca's back 40. The K car and the first minivan brought Dodge back from the brink with Iacocca at the helm in the early 80's.

Anyone else ever seen that lifted yellow Trans-am near the Georgetown trailer park on I70?
I think he's got 34s on that thing!

My old boss used to collect K-cars... and he made the kind of cheddar where he could have collected supercars or spaceships. He's not even a gearhead that likes fixing them up.

The worst car ever has to be the Crown Vic. Who wants to drive around in a cop car? The squarest car ever made.

My wife claims she thought those cars were called "K cars" because you could buy them at K-mart.

Friend of mine in high school referred to them as "hat cars" due to the shape. Honestly if you look at most U.S. cars from that era you'd be convinced the Big Three had pretty much thrown in the towel. Just terrible cars.

I had a '66 VW Bug and rolled it one night when I was drunk in college, so I ended up inheriting a school bus yellow VW 412. Worst car I ever had.

    Just like this:

Even the guys with no car made fun of me...until they needed a ride...
